Exciting opportunity for a dynamic Senior Planner to join a growing and highly respected firm, based in Newcastle. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As a Senior Planning Consultant with our client, you will play a key role in driving forward major projects, working alongside senior staff and directors, and ensuring compliance with planning legislation and policies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting senior staff and directors on major planning projects.
- Managing small to medium-sized planning applications.
- Undertaking research and preparing planning appraisals for land, buildings, and concepts.
- Preparing and submitting planning reports, applications, and environmental statements.
- Liaising with planning officers, consultees, and third-party stakeholders.
- Cultivating strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and professionals.
- Developing creative and original planning solutions.
- Taking financial responsibility for projects from inception to completion.
- Remaining informed about planning policies and practices.
SENIOR PLANNING CONSULTANT - DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 4 - 8 years of experience in the private or public planning sector.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant field with a genuine passion for planning.
- Strong understanding of planning principles and policy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, with great organisational skills.
- Proven ability in technical writing and delivering presentations.
- Creative problem-solver and effective communicator.
- Experience managing small to medium-sized projects and client relationships.
