We are accepting applicants from across the UK for this position. Our client, a reputable vehicle dealership based in Bolton, is seeking a Car Mechanic to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs accurately and efficiently, working with both mechanical and electrical components.
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday; 40 hours per week plus every other Saturday
Requirements:
- Must have NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Dealership experience preferable
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in vehicle maintenance and repair
- Possess excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Diagnostics: Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify issues with the vehicle's engine, transmission, electrical systems, brakes, and other components using advanced tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide range of vehicles, including oil changes, brake repairs, tyre rotations, and engine repairs.
- Parts Replacement: Replace faulty or worn parts, ensuring all components meet manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- System Inspections: Inspect and test vehicle systems such as the engine, transmission, suspension, and exhaust to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulations.
- Customer Communication: Provide clear and detailed explanations of issues, repairs needed, and costs to customers in a professional manner.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs for customer billing and internal tracking.
