The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.
Our client supplies, installs and services a range of industrial Battery Chargers, and related products, for industrial Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). We are currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide team responsible for servicing Battery Chargers and their related Battery Packs at commercial/industrial locations.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
- To organise & complete service visits according to manufacturers recommendations.
- To position, install and commission equipment at customer sites.
- To repair equipment.
- To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
- To promote the company and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.
- To adhere to quality standards at all times.
- Survey new and existing sites for installation purposes.
- Feedback quality issues to the office.
- Provide Technical Support to colleagues and customers as required.
Any of the following experience and qualifications would be beneficial although training will be given:
- Electrical/Electronic fault finding.
- Electromechanical Installation e.g. BS7671 18th Edition Wiring Regs.
- Understanding of SLA, NiCD and Plante batteries.
- Experience working with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs), UKPN, National Grid or London Underground would be beneficial.
- Experience with Battery chargers, UPS, Backup power systems/supply, emergency lighting beneficial.
- Substations access experience eg. UKPN, National Grid, Western Power, Southern Power, Scottish power, Electrical Authorised person and CSCS all beneficial.
- UK Driving License and eligibility to work in UK are essential.
Our client is employee owned and offer an attractive salary and benefits package to include profit share and overtime. Following induction training this role will be working on a rota basis, from home. All PPE, training, own van, expenses, healthcare plan, overtime, uniform and certifications included.
