Homelodge Buildings Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Site Carpenter to join our dedicated team, working on high-quality modular buildings and timber-frame structures. This hands-on role involves working on-site to carry out a range of carpentry tasks during the installation and finishing phases of our bespoke buildings. As part of a collaborative and supportive team, the Site Carpenter will be responsible for fitting timber components, which varies between 1st and 2nd fix carpentry. The role requires a strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work within a team.
Responsibilities:
- Construct and install all components of our lodges.
- Use hand tools such as chisels, hammers, and saws to shape materials.
- Operate power tools including drills, sanders, and nail guns safely and effectively.
- Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed.
- Conduct heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
- Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square according to project requirements.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
- Communicate with the senior management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Full UK driving license.
- Level 2 NVQ in site carpentry or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks consistently throughout the day.
- Proficient in using both hand tools and power tools safely.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
