We are looking for a Gas Safety Registered Engineer to join our Maintenance department and manage compliance and inspections of our properties.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Install, service, and maintain gas heating systems and appliances in HMO properties.
- Perform annual gas safety checks and issue safety certificates.
- Diagnose and repair faults on boilers and other gas appliances.
- Ensure compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations and other relevant legislation.
- Liaise with coordinators and compliance officers to schedule visits and complete works in a timely manner.
- Provide advice and guidance on gas safety and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, maintenance, and repairs carried out.
- Respond to emergency call-outs for gas leaks or other gas-related issues.
- Work closely with other members of the maintenance team to provide a comprehensive service.
Skills & Knowledge
- Gas Safe registered engineer.
- Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas heating systems and appliances.
- Excellent understanding of current gas regulations and standards.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with tenants and staff.
- Full clean UK driving license.
Ideal but not Essential
- Experience working in an HMO or residential property management setting.
- Additional qualifications in plumbing or heating engineering.
- Possession of own professional-grade tools and equipment suitable for a wide range of gas engineering tasks.
