Bookkeeper – Accountancy Practice

Location: Seaford, East Sussex

Salary: £24,000 – £32,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

An established and friendly accountancy practice in Seaford is looking to welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to their team. Key Responsibilities:

Managing bookkeeping duties for a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors

Processing sales and purchase invoices, bank reconciliations, and VAT returns

Using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

Supporting accountants with year-end preparation where needed

What We’re Looking For:

Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice environment is essential

Solid understanding of VAT and general bookkeeping principles

Proficiency in cloud accounting platforms

Excellent communication skills and client service approach

AAT qualification is desirable but not essential if experience is strong
