Full Time Permanent
As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a designated caseload, including assessing service users with complex needs, designing and delivering specialist psychological interventions, and developing robust care plans to guide treatment.
As a Neuro/Clinical Psychologist you will be:
- Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment service users referred to the service.
- Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
- Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric, neuropsychological and semi-structured clinical methods.
- Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence-based best practice.
- Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
- Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have BPS recognised psychology degrees
- Be HCPC registered
- Have Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
- Be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
- Have an understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
- Have experience and/or interest in applying psychological knowledge to this complex population
- Be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
- Have previous experience of conducting research and project working
