Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of buses and coaches.
- Carry out diagnostic testing, fault finding, and troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
- Perform inspections to ensure buses meet all safety, operational, and legal requirements.
- Work on various systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components.
- Record all work completed, including parts used, and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient fleet operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Proven experience as a Bus Mechanic or in a similar role working with heavy vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
- Experience with both mechanical and electrical bus systems.
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- A valid driving license (preferably with a Category D entitlement, though not essential).
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
