Main Purpose of the Inspection Technician
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business at the forefront of precision engineering. As an Inspection Technician, you will be responsible for creating, developing, and documenting CMM programmes to support the evaluation of company products and processes. You’ll ensure programmes are proven, robust, and repeatable, and carry out inspections using both automated and manual test equipment.
Responsibilities of the Inspection Technician
- Develop and validate CMM programmes for accurate, repeatable inspection of components.
- Operate a range of test and inspection equipment, both automated and manual.
- Verify CMM reports to ensure products meet design and quality standards.
- Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and management teams to maintain inspection processes.
- Investigate failures and quality issues using root cause analysis techniques.
- Recommend improvements to practices, processes, or supply chains based on inspection findings.
- Maintain thorough documentation and compliance with internal quality procedures.
