Your new company is an established and reputable Utilities Contractor based in Greater Belfast, specialising in local works across Belfast and County Down areas. They currently require a Site Supervisor to join their team, which will be based in the Greater Belfast and County Down region, carrying out several supervisory responsibilities. With an emphasis on quality work, your new employer offers a long-term stable working environment in Northern Ireland. They are working on some of the largest utilities frameworks in the country, including projects on N.I. Water and N.I. Electricity, and have an excellent order book for the year with ongoing training and development opportunities available.

Your new role will involve working directly on their Northern Ireland electricity framework and covering ongoing works as a Site Supervisor. You will be tasked with supervising multiple labour crews, organising and programming workloads, as well as liaising with various statutory bodies. Projects will involve smaller civils schemes and maintenance projects that will vary in value, along with long-term continued work on Northern Ireland's utilities frameworks.

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of a team of 2-man squads
  • Monitor the efficient and effective use of resources
  • Ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are maintained
  • Liaise with clients and ensure that the work is completed on time and to budget
  • Delegate tasks to the team and ensure that they are carried out in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time
  • Carry out any other duties as deemed necessary

Typical working days consist of a 7am start in the head office with a 5pm finish.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have a background in utilities or civils work, with a preference for those who have experience within NIW / NIE / Telecoms. This role requires experience in supervising labour forces and conducting health and safety audits on site. You should be a strong-minded individual capable of managing multiple teams, driving project progression, and maintaining quality. All working backgrounds will be considered, from those who have worked their way up on plant machinery to foremen; however, experience in a similar supervisory capacity is essential. A form of Supervisor card such as CSCS or SSSMTS or NVQ equivalent is required. A full driving licence is necessary, and you must be within a commutable distance of South Belfast for the 7am start.

This is a stable, permanent role based solely in Northern Ireland, focusing on the Greater Belfast area. You will receive a competitive salary reflective of your experience, negotiable between £30,000 - £35,000, as well as a company van, fuel, phone, laptop, 1.5 overtime rate, and an on-call rota system typically 1 in 7 weeks. This role will provide you with a long-term career within the industry and offer continued development and training opportunities as you progress further within the organisation.
