The predicted salary is between 72000 - 108000 £ per year.
This role will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. Applicants from the UK are encouraged and visa sponsorship can be provided.
What will your day look like:
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand business demands and drivers, elaborating these, assessing the impacts and implications for our existing technology portfolio and programs of work, and shaping a response.
- Collaborating with business analysts and engineers to develop solution options, make decisions, and maintaining key Architecture artefacts, e.g. Architecture / Solution Overview.
- Developing and maintaining a target state E2E architecture for Markets and a roadmap to get there, supporting the goals and aspirations of the Markets business, and considering the wider organisational challenges and imperatives.
- Collaborating with other architects, analysts, engineers, and subject matter experts to ensure that the target state architecture is clearly communicated and understood and aligns with both business and technology strategic intents. Also ensuring projects align to it.
- Presenting big picture or detailed architecture views and artefacts to a variety of stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Building relationships with key business and technology stakeholders and setting direction together.
What You Bring To Markets Technology:
- At least ten years of experience as a technology architect ā ranging from technology strategy to detailed solution design.
- Deep financial markets knowledge and insights into Markets E2E architectures, including insights into low latency electronic trading, highly performance risk, and operations architectures.
- Understanding of pricing & risk management models across FX and Fixed Income, and how they are applied by markets traders.
- Familiarity with leading vendors in the Markets space, e.g., ION Marketview and Murex.
- Insight into application development leveraging cloud-native technologies, ideally AWS IaaS/PaaS and GCPās data & analytics platform.
- Experience in analysing and modelling the Markets domains and associated service design.
- Experience in distributed (micro)service-oriented architecture, as well as refactoring monoliths into modular services.
- Experience in the architecture and design of event-driven systems, different methods of service and system integration (APIs, streams, etc), and related concerns such as orchestration.
- Understanding of data management desirable, including reference data management, data integration technologies, and data architectures to support information, analytics, and insights.
- Able to get hands-on. Comfortable working with engineers, experienced in programming.
- Possess a sophisticated repertoire of influencing techniques and ability to adjust style to different contexts and audiences.
- Demonstrated track record of managing senior stakeholders. Ability to deepen and sustain relationships.
- Actively seeks and acts on the right opportunities to represent the firm in the wider community.
- Proven skill in consulting, communicating, and influencing.
