About the Role:
My client, a growing machine tool support company, is offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Machine Tool Service Engineer to join their team. Formed of highly experienced ex-OEM and agent engineers, the team provides exceptional support to a diverse customer base, including blue-chip companies and smaller enterprises. The company places great emphasis on work-life balance, offering engineers the autonomy to manage their schedules and ensuring that individual needs are valued. This role is perfect for an experienced engineer looking to work more regionally, with less travel, and gain greater control over their diary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation, servicing, and repair of CNC and manual machine tools, both old and new.
- Completing weekly timesheets via iAuditor.
- Ensuring service sheets are signed off by both the customer and the engineer.
- Submitting daily timesheets and job reports.
- Providing job updates to the office by 3:00 PM each day.
- Notifying the office upon job completion.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years' proven experience as a Machine Tool Service Engineer.
- Knowledge of DMG MORI, Haas, and Doosan machinery is highly desirable.
- Experience with controls such as Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc, and Mitsubishi.
- Robotics experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse workload.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
