We are looking for a talented Software Developer to join our Central Functions Development team in London. This is a key role working closely with our COO and Operations teams, where you will lead the development of tools and applications that drive efficiency and automation across the business.
Your future role at QRT:
- Take ownership of development projects end-to-end from stakeholder engagement through to design and release.
- Build and deliver solutions for Operations and COO functions.
- Design tools to automate operational workflows, such as trade booking.
- Own and manage data sources, creating insightful reports and dashboards.
- Act as the primary development contact for COO and Operations stakeholders.
- Help design and enhance the team’s web application.
- Drive technical decisions, including frameworks and architecture.
- Continuously improve and develop both new and existing services.
Your present skillset:
- 2-5 years of software development experience in writing high-quality, testable code.
- Experience with Python and core libraries such as Pandas and Numpy required.
- Experience with web development libraries such as Flask, Django or FastAPI.
- Understanding of SQL and working with databases (reading / writing data).
- Experience with data visualisation (Tableau, Power BI, Dash or similar) or building reports from large data sets.
- Ability to lead projects and balance multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Data-orientated individual who can work through large, detailed and time-consuming projects.
- Experience working within a development team in the financial services industry preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of modern software architecture and cloud platforms.
