GF Logistics UK is expanding its airfreight services and we’re looking for a motivated and experienced Airfreight Operator to join our UK team!
Location: Suite 204, UCH House, Old Bath Road - Colnbrook, Slough SL3 0NW, United Kingdom
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:30

Position Summary:
To manage and support the airfreight manager to ensure that the company’s objectives are met in a consistent and pro-active manner. To work towards enhancing the profitability of the section by working closely with both internal and external partners/suppliers and maintain a high level of customer contact.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain and develop relationships with customers.
- Meet deadlines/requirements as per client requests.
- Monitor supplier performance.
- Good file management and attention to detail.
- Prepare quotations in accordance with client’s request.
- Book vehicles with subcontractors in accordance with requirements.
- Complete required consignment documentation.
- Complete export/import customs documents where required.
- Ensure the correct documentation is produced depending on country of destination and the status of the goods.
- Charge own files.
- Assist colleagues during staff absences/holidays including imports/exports.
- Manage distribution and depot/depot costs.
- Manage the department to meet the requirements of the company.
- Encourage and implement “Best Practice” across the department.

- React promptly and proactively to client requests.
- Handle moments of truth correctly (in terms of customer service).
- Ensure deadlines are kept by monitoring suppliers.
- Develop a good working relationship with your client accounts.
- Maintain files in accordance with procedure.
- Achieve operational standards.
- Reach financial targets.
- Ensure all shipments are costed and invoiced in accordance with company policy.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
General - Comply with the Company Health & Safety policy and procedures and any other tasks deemed necessary by the management team. Any other duties that the company may reasonably ask you to perform which are within your expertise and skill sets.
PERSON/JOB SPECIFICATION:
