We are looking for a hands-on test engineer to take the lead in setting up and running performance and functional tests on our innovative cooling systems for data centres. You will work closely with engineering teams to validate prototypes, support customer testing, and ensure our systems perform exactly as designed. This is a key role in our R&D lab, where real-world testing meets engineering innovation. You will take ownership of test setups, equipment maintenance, test scheduling, and reporting - with support from a team of lab technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and execute performance and functional tests on HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Lead a small team of lab technicians in day-to-day testing activities
  • Plan and manage the test lab schedule to align with project milestones and customer requests
  • Work with R&D, Applications, and Electrical Engineering teams to define test needs and interpret results
  • Maintain and upgrade lab equipment including chillers, boilers, generators, fans, and control systems
  • Document and report test results clearly and accurately for internal and customer use
  • Manage calibration of measurement instruments in collaboration with the Quality Manager
  • Oversee safety and upkeep in the test lab environment

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Solid hands-on knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems (chilled water, direct expansion, fans, pumps, etc.)
  • Familiarity with lab equipment and measurements: airflow, pressure, temperature, power, flow rates, etc.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working with test control systems (Carel, ALC, or others a plus but not required)
  • Practical experience with generators, boilers, and chillers is highly desirable
