We are currently working with a well regarded, Legal 500 ranked firm in Reading that is looking for a Corporate Solicitor to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced corporate law professional to join an expanding and supportive team. Partnership track is available.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advise on business sales, mergers, and acquisitions (typical deal value £3M-£30M).
  • Lead or support complex transactions depending on size and client needs.
  • Support internal restructuring, group reorganisations, and demergers.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, often through referrals.
  • Provide clear, commercial, and practical legal advice.
  • Assist clients with raising funds through private equity or venture capital.
  • Represent investors and founders in funding rounds and management buyouts.
  • Advise on banking matters, including loan agreements, securities, and refinancing.
  • Work with banks and borrowers on funding for acquisitions or developments.
  • Help clients navigate financial distress, insolvency, and business recovery.
  • Work with administrators, lenders, and directors on turnaround strategies.
  • Draft and review governance documents such as shareholder agreements, articles, and partnership terms.
  • Advise on share buy-backs, capital changes, and general corporate compliance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across specialties to deliver a joined-up service.

The successful candidate:

  • 7 + years PQE in Corporate Law.
  • Excellent at building client relationships and explaining legal matters clearly.
  • Able to manage a diverse caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Business-minded with a proactive approach to development and growth.
  • Flexible, solution-oriented, and strong at problem-solving.
