Role overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse environment. This position requires a strong understanding of materials handling and the ability to use SAP and or similar ERP systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Receive and update materials in the business system
- Deliver materials to storage or usage locations
- Replenish Kanban systems
- Clean materials pre-use
- Pack goods for shipment
- Order and maintain packaging materials
- Complete cycle counts for inventory
- Ensure regulatory compliance
- Contribute to continuous improvement
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Experience in logistics/material handling
- Proficient with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Manufacturing/warehouse experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Adaptable and proactive team player
- Numerate and literate with a keen eye for detail
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing techniques
- Forklift training desirable
- GCSE Grade 4 or above in English, Maths, Science or equivalent preferred
