About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Senior Cradle/BMU Engineer to lead complex inspections, testing, and remedial work across a range of façade access systems. You will supervise teams, ensure safety compliance, and act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead site-based inspections, servicing, and fault diagnosis of BMUs and cradle equipment
- Inspection of fall protection equipment
- Manage on-site teams including Engineers, Associates, and Trainees
- Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and internal procedures
- Support technical troubleshooting and escalate complex issues
- Train and mentor junior engineers and apprentices
- Liaise with clients and contribute to project planning or RAMS reviews
Essential Skills:
- Extensive experience with cradle systems or façade access equipment
- Proven experience carrying out LG3 works
- Electrical systems experience (motors, control panels, limit switches, etc.)
- Strong understanding of PLC systems and inverter drive controls
- Strong understanding of LOLER and associated legislation
- Full UK manual driving licence
- SSSTS (or equivalent)
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
Desirable:
- PASMA/IPAF certification
- Simpro or similar job system experience
- LOLER inspection qualification or training
Benefits:
