About the Role:

We are looking for a reliable and technically skilled Senior Cradle/BMU Engineer to lead complex inspections, testing, and remedial work across a range of façade access systems. You will supervise teams, ensure safety compliance, and act as a technical point of contact for clients and internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site-based inspections, servicing, and fault diagnosis of BMUs and cradle equipment
  • Inspection of fall protection equipment
  • Manage on-site teams including Engineers, Associates, and Trainees
  • Ensure compliance with LOLER, PUWER, and internal procedures
  • Support technical troubleshooting and escalate complex issues
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and apprentices
  • Liaise with clients and contribute to project planning or RAMS reviews

Essential Skills:

  • Extensive experience with cradle systems or façade access equipment
  • Proven experience carrying out LG3 works
  • Electrical systems experience (motors, control panels, limit switches, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of PLC systems and inverter drive controls
  • Strong understanding of LOLER and associated legislation
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • SSSTS (or equivalent)
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills

Desirable:

  • PASMA/IPAF certification
  • Simpro or similar job system experience
  • LOLER inspection qualification or training
