Join a leader in offsite-prefabricated MEP innovation across the UK & Europe. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee the assembly and integration of mechanical systems within modular MEP units and related infrastructure. This is a hands-on role for someone with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for quality and innovation in mechanical engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee mechanical assembly of plantroom and modular systems
- Ensure installations comply with technical drawings and standards
- Conduct inspections, testing, and quality checks on equipment and pipework
- Document snagging issues using FieldView and ensure timely resolution
- Liaise with design, fabrication, and electrical teams for seamless integration
- Carry out pre-commissioning checks and produce testing documentation
- Provide feedback to improve design and assembly processes
- Maintain detailed records of inspections and project progress
The ideal candidate will have:
- 3-5 years experience in mechanical engineering, ideally in MEP/plantroom environments
- Skills in assembling mechanical systems (pumps, pipework, HVAC, heat exchangers)
- Comfortable working both on-site and in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- A full UK driving licence
- Relevant mechanical/HVAC certifications
- Safety certifications and site-based experience
