We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery setting.
  • Support the planning and implementation of engaging educational activities that promote learning through play.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
  • Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance childcare skills.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred.
  • A background in early childhood education or related field is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage groups of children effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for childcare and supporting children's development.
