This is a full-time, permanent vacancy located in Glasgow (onsite parking).

Salary: We are open to the level of individual we hire - salaries will depend on experience and may vary on location, as we are open to hiring in Tamworth, London or Glasgow. £35,000 - £40,000 - maybe negotiable.

This could be your new role: We are looking for a capable and detail-oriented CAD Designer to support the production of civil design deliverables across a range of non-infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater treatment works. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of Civil 3D, Revit, and ACC, with experience in delivering coordinated 2D and 3D models in a multidisciplinary environment.

You will work closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality, accurate design outputs that support efficient project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare 2D and 3D design models and drawings for water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Develop general arrangements, layouts, RC details, site plans, sections, and civil details using Civil 3D and Revit.
  • Work within the Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment for model sharing, coordination, and version control.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other discipline designers to ensure integrated and clash-free models.
  • Follow internal CAD standards and contribute to the ongoing development of best practices.
  • Support project delivery by ensuring timely production and issue of design deliverables.
  • Assist with model reviews, QA/QC, and drawing package assembly for construction and tender submissions.
  • Maintain accurate records of revisions and drawing registers in accordance with project requirements.
  • Have the ability to undertake some design-related tasks when required.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a CAD design role within the water sector.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Autodesk Revit, and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Solid understanding of civil detailing practices relevant to water infrastructure.
