Are you a skilled Pyro Assembly Technician interested in a new opportunity to grow your career? ASL Technical are now working with a leading Aerospace and Defence industry leader as they look to expand their Precision Assembly team working on safety critical components.
The purpose of the role is to be responsible for undertaking multi-skilled duties, as allocated within The Pyrotechnic Assembly department, to contribute to and maintain the efficiency and effectiveness of the service provided by Production and maintain standards at the highest level in accordance with Company and Departmental procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow Work Instructions and Engineering Drawings to assemble pyrotechnic components per specifications.
- Assemble parts accurately to required tolerances, following procedures.
- Meet all quality standards.
- Complete tasks within set schedules.
- Interpret assembly drawings and documents to correctly identify part numbers, drawing issues, practices, and batches.
- Handle explosives and components carefully.
- Use tools and jigs properly to avoid damage or injury.
- Keep the assembly area clean, safe, and efficient.
- Perform other duties as needed to maintain production flow.
Key Skills:
- Can work under pressure to balance competing job priorities to agreed deadlines.
- A completer finisher – i.e. someone who always finishes off a task with no loose ends.
- Solid verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic PC skills.
- The ability to work independently but also as a part of a team.
- Self-motivating.
- Basic administration routines.
