Salary up to £85k + Benefits. Broster Buchanan are partnered with a leading global food business who are looking for an ERP Project Manager for a 12-month FTC. This role will be based in Maidstone or Spalding with 3 days on-site across both locations.
This is a Hands-on Project Manager role looking for someone with significant ERP implementation and business change experience that can own, influence, and shape a successful rollout across 2 FMCG businesses.
About:
We are seeking an ERP Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new ERP solution into the Retail Division. The role is to manage full project delivery, ensuring that timelines, costs, and scope are closely monitored and adhered to. They will be responsible for managing the interaction with business management, third parties, and the wider internal IT organisation through all stages of the project from design to implementation, ensuring full business readiness and solution adoption, whilst ensuring that all dependencies are managed and any risks around delivery are correctly addressed.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of project plans and coordination of project resources.
- Manage the overall project delivery plan, including internal and partner deliverables, ensuring visibility of progress and key risks to all stakeholders.
- Track progress against the plan. Identify, manage, and propose mitigations to project risks and issues using risk and RAID logs.
- Produce weekly tracker on progress vs. plan, including developing ‘Get to Green’ plans where necessary.
- Develop and maintain an effective status management process and regularly report progress to the Stakeholders, including the presentation of project status updates in Steering Meetings.
- Chair the weekly PMO meeting with the vendor and workstream leads.
- Lead the internal project team and be the key escalation point between the internal project team and the vendor.
- Responsible for ensuring the quality of the deliverables from the vendor including that all solutions are thoroughly tested.
- Define robust processes for user acceptance testing, ensuring full business approval prior to go-live.
- During application implementation, provide project management for data migration and conversion services, on-site support, documentation, and training.
- Develop and execute the system cutover planning.
- Ensure releases of software are planned and executed in line with the business/project demands.
Requirements:
- 10+ Years of demonstrable experience in project management, including implementing multiple different ERP systems in a multi-site fashion, ideally in a Food/FMCG environment (or similar).
- Experience managing complex projects with various interdependencies, ensuring all internal and external teams are aligned and working towards the same end goal, as well as managing upwards.
- Significant prior experience in addressing both the business and IT activities associated with an ERP project, including: Test plan development, Business and system implementation planning and execution, Organisational Change Management and readiness experience.
- Adept at balancing multiple priorities and requirements in a complex business environment. Hands-on, analytical & organised approach to understanding challenges & recommending solutions.
- Strong communication skills, enabling alignment with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels within a commercial environment with the ability to interpret complex requirements.
