Location: Holland Park Gate, 261 Kensington High St, W8 6NB

Reporting to: Head Concierge/Resident Operations Manager

Core Hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm depending on business needs (5 ON 2 OFF)

As often being the first and last contact, the Residence Doorman & Driver will always be at the forefront of residents' service, giving a genuine and warm welcome, memorable engagement and exceeding expectations with the highest standards of service and hospitality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure complete resident satisfaction by providing information and services that always meet a 5 star+ experience through warm engagement, respect, discretion and efficiency.
  • Recognize, greet and farewell all residents in a friendly and warm manner using their names when known.
  • Open cars/taxis doors and assist residents, their guests and potential customers as required, paying extra attention to the most vulnerable.
  • Assist residents if needed with light tasks, collection & delivery duties.
  • Manage and control the Main Entrance Court, entrance from High Street Kensington and immediate perimeter to ensure it maintains an immaculate appearance.
  • Monitor and manage all vehicles and direct accordingly.
  • Deal with any resident queries and complaints in an efficient manner ensuring a positive outcome. Escalate to your supervisor/manager if required.
  • Check arrival and departure reports for all visitors to anticipate and satisfy needs.
  • Handle any residence and visitor enquiries or contact the correct person on residents' behalf.
  • Control all vehicle parking in the entrance and monitor safety around the car stacker system.
  • When available and as directed, drive the residents' house car and safely deliver all residents to their destination or collect.
  • Handle operational or residents' requests for external pick up/collections/drop off as required.
  • Maintain and monitor security aspects and raise the alarm/call for assistance if required.
  • Ensure all information provided to residences and colleagues is accurate and updated as appropriate.
  • Deliver the required level of service in order to meet and exceed residence owner and visitors' expectations.
  • Give and receive handover information at the end of shifts to ensure effective communication for the benefit of residences and colleagues.
  • Ensure the safety of pass keys, car keys and keys for operations.
  • Carry out ad hoc reasonable requests as directed by your manager.
  • Manage projects and any other reasonable duties as required.
Health and Safety/Compliance
  • Attend all H&S and fire trainings as directed by your Manager in order to be fully compliant with H&S and fire legal requirements.
  • Be fully conversant with the fire policy and fire panel and what actions to take in case of an activation. Attend statutory trainings when required.
  • Report all accidents, near misses and hazards to your manager/supervisor to ensure they are dealt with to prevent any injury.
  • Comply with safe working practices as laid down under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Companies health and safety policies.
  • Report any defects in the building, plant or equipment according to procedures.
  • Ensure any accidents to colleagues, residents or visitors are reported in accordance with procedures.

  • Significant knowledge of London to assist both residences and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • 5 years of relevant experience within luxury community management or luxury hotel management, during which the candidate has demonstrated success and advancement.
  • A full, valid UK driving licence and minimum of 25 years of age due to insurance restrictions of the residents' house car and valet service.
Desirable
  • Prior hotel or luxury residential opening experience would be an advantage.
  • Additional languages would be beneficial.
  • First Aid Certificate.
