We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Worker to support young people aged 11–25 in a creative, inclusive, and inspiring environment.

Location: Camden, London (On-site)

Salary: £30,521.92 FTE - (£18,313.15 pro rata).

Hours: 21 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

About the Role

As a Youth Worker, you’ll play a vital role in supporting young people to engage with creative opportunities while providing a welcoming, safe and supportive environment. Based at the front desk of a dynamic youth hub, you will act as the first point of contact for young people entering the space. You’ll also be instrumental in offering pastoral support, helping young people build resilience, confidence and essential life skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing the front desk and being the initial contact for studio users.
  • Processing memberships and supporting young people with queries via phone, email and in person.
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling evening administrative tasks, including cashing up.
  • Providing one-to-one and group-based pastoral support and safeguarding guidance.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and managing conflicts when necessary.
  • Signposting to internal and external services and supporting transitions between programmes.
  • Upholding safeguarding, equality, and sustainability policies in all areas of the role.

About You

You’ll bring a genuine passion for youth engagement and experience working with diverse and marginalised young people. You’re confident in handling challenging situations, have a solid understanding of safeguarding practices, and know how to create inclusive, respectful environments.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Experience working with young people (11–25), particularly those from disadvantaged or underrepresented backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong communication, administrative and organisational skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting young people’s wellbeing.
  • Clear DBS
