An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Manager to join one of our longstanding clients, a thriving and rapidly growing professional services firm based in Brighton.

The Requirements:

  • A recognised professional accountancy qualification
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with strong financial acumen
  • Proficiency in IT systems with advanced Excel knowledge
  • Ability to quickly learn new software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
  • Comfortable driving and adapting to change, including leading on system improvements
  • Capable of working to tight deadlines and managing ad hoc project work
  • Clear and effective communication skills with internal teams and external stakeholders

The Role:

  • Support the Finance Manager and Head of Finance in day-to-day financial operations
  • Oversee core accounting activities, including managing outsourced payroll
  • Review and approve purchase invoices, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations
  • Lead the monthly reconciliation of control accounts across key financial areas
  • Assist with the delivery of monthly management information, including KPIs
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting
