Job Description Job Title: Head Butcher Location: Hampstead About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Butcher to lead a dedicated team of approx 10 Butchers at a flagship boutique butcher shop in Hampstead. This role is perfect for a passionate professional with exceptional butchery expertise and strong leadership abilities. As Head Butcher, you will oversee daily operations, uphold high standards, and play a pivotal role in driving the success of this thriving business. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of 10 butchers and counter assistants, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Oversee all aspects of operations, including trade orders, online orders, labelling, and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain exceptional standards in meat preparation, ensuring quality and consistency in every cut. Deliver engaging and informative weekly butchery classes. Handle purchasing and stock sourcing, with a focus on sourcing from Spitalfields Market. Train, mentor, and develop team members, ensuring their ongoing professional growth. Support business expansion and contribute to multi-site operations when required. Working Conditions: 48 hours per week, 5 days a week with 2 days off.
