You will be working in a contemporary office in Stockton, offering a vibrant and comfortable environment that promotes both productivity and well-being. What will I be doing? In this office-based role, you will report directly to the Company Director and take ownership of the day-to-day bookkeeping across two businesses, playing a key role in keeping financial operations running smoothly and accurately. As part of your responsibilities, you will support project costing by working closely with engineers to help allocate expenses correctly and keep everything aligned with budgets. You will also manage the billing process, making sure invoices are issued promptly and reflect project costs accurately. Alongside this, you will handle a range of core accounting duties, including bank reconciliations, VAT returns, maintaining purchase and sales ledgers, processing payment runs, and assisting with month-end reporting. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the company’s finances are organised, accurate, and up to date, contributing directly to its continued success and growth.
About you: You will bring experience from a similar bookkeeping position and be confident handling day-to-day financial tasks. Ideally, you will be familiar with Sage 50, although training can be provided for the right person.
