Are you a proven Business Analyst with specific process and systems design experience? Ability to adapt to a variety of projects, working at pace effectively with a variety of stakeholders, to help deliver considerable change and transformation? Can you build upon previous Financial Services sector experience and bring knowledge and confidence to hit the ground running on some complex projects? Do you have the desire to deliver in an environment that will truly value and acknowledge your business analysis expertise, and feel like you're delivering considerable impact in business change?

You will be joining a company in the Financial Services sector, working closely with the Head of Transformation who is passionate about delivering effective business change and transformation. You will be a key team member engaging across the business which has an international presence. The confidence you instil in being able to pick up and deliver a variety of BA requirements is crucial.

You will be responsible for eliciting detailed requirements and design processes across multiple projects within a financial broker firm, that is undergoing company-wide transformation. Your role will challenge colleagues (constructively), acting as a critical friend to optimise the design and solution of processes and systems in order to achieve business requirements and user needs. As Business Analyst, you will build and develop the relationships across front and back-off teams to ensure maximum performance, by providing guidance and direction on purpose and motivation. Often adapting to unique scenarios and situations creating both 'quick wins' and strategic improvements.

Key elements of your day to day will include:

  • Working with key stakeholders and PMO teams to gather business requirements for new projects.
  • Understanding and translating business needs and requirements into executable solutions which comply with company policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Providing gap analysis in current business systems and processes, mapping changes from 'as-is' and 'to-be' across technologies and business ways of working.
  • Helping stakeholders and project sponsors with building comprehensive business cases for new projects.
  • Identifying key areas of impacts for process and system changes, working with PMO teams to identify impacts of inflight project changes.
  • Providing comprehensive documentation and process maps.
  • Comprehensive handovers over designs and solutions to project management team which can be translated into project action plans.

As the ideal candidate, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience working in systems and process design within the Financial Services sector.
  • A track record of working with a variety of different teams, not solely focused on Technology.
  • Working with different delivery methodologies, e.g. Agile, Lean or Waterfall.
  • Understanding of cloud based solutions, compute and storage platforms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Experience in using project software (i.e. JIRA, MS Projects etc) is advantageous.
  • Experience working with trading technology.

Your working week will be hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office (or more if you prefer), situated centrally in London (near to Tower Bridge). There will often be some flexibility required based on project/stakeholder priorities, but a fair approach is taken by the company.

As a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) with a duration of 12 months, this role will offer the potential of moving to a permanent Business Analyst role if all variables align with your outstanding delivery in the position during the year.
