Role: Associate Building Surveyor

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 per annum

About the Role:Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Building Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality building surveying services to their diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive building surveys and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage and oversee refurbishment and renovation projects from inception to completion.
• Provide expert advice on building defects, maintenance, and repair solutions.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and health and safety standards.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and contract administration.
• Mentor and support junior surveyors within the team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
• MRICS qualification or working towards it.
• Proven experience in building surveying, preferably in a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations and construction standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and technology.
