About the company:A global leader within the renewable energy sector is looking for a Legal Counsel to join their team. The role is based in Aberdeen. About the role:The role will involve providing pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to the business with a high degree of autonomy, in a supportive environment. Principally supporting, reviewing drafting and negotiating general legal agreements including joint bidding agreements, joint venture agreements, consortia, vessel charters and other types of contractual documents and agreements used in the offshore fixed wind construction industry. This role will ideally suit a commercial lawyer with demonstrable experience in the renewable energy sector, including construction agreements including FIDIC, BIMCO and LOGIC. As well as ensuring compliance with the company’s governance and policies. About you:The successful candidate will have at least 4 PQE. Ideally, you have experience of working in-house environment within the energy sector, preferably within the renewables sector or Oil and Gas. In addition to significant experience reviewing, negotiating and advising on offshore industry contracts. Multi-jurisdictional experience including working with global external counsel will be highly advantageous. This role would suit someone who is commercially astute and who thrives in a fast paced, complex and rapidly changing environment.
