As a BA, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the requirements gathering from the internal stakeholders within our business for our technology department. Your primary focus will be on working with key non-technical stakeholders in the business to understand the “as-is” process and map the “To Be” process in alignment with the bank's goals and regulatory requirements. You will be a proactive problem solver and guide the development team into delivering high spec solutions, creating documentation for their referral and supporting the technical with any additional information required from business users.
The BA will:
- Gather and document business requirements for the Data Analytics & Reporting platform.
- Identify and resolve data-related issues and concerns by working directly with business teams.
- Capture and define data lineage, ensuring clear understanding of data flow from ingestion to reporting.
- Design and optimize data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing and analysis.
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure proper data remediation and data quality.
- Utilise tools like SQL for analysis and reporting where applicable.
- Work in an Agile environment, ensuring iterative progress and timely delivery of projects.
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Banking experience preferred.
- Expert in investigating manual processes and identifying opportunities for automation.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (GCP).
- Strong understanding of data management, data governance, data analytics, MIS reporting and business intelligence concepts.
- Knowledge of SQL for data manipulation and reporting. Also, data warehousing concepts and tools such as Big Query.
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI and Tableau).
- Experience of working with banking products such as Mortgages, Loans, Deposits, Foreign Exchange, Bonds and Interest Rate Derivatives.
- Process Modelling experience to BPMN 2.0 standard.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
