Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Account Executive for a dynamic new business development role, based in Horsham. The successful candidate will focus primarily on networking, building relationships, and developing a strong profile within the local area. 75% of your time will be dedicated to these activities, with a goal of building a book of business centred around corporate and commercial accounts, specifically targeting larger clients with an income of £2,500 and above.
- Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Development: Networking and relationship-building to expand the client base, focusing on larger corporate and commercial accounts.
- Marketing Strategy: Developing and implementing strategies to identify new opportunities and attract clients.
- Managing a Book of Business: In addition to generating new business, managing an existing book of around £50k in commercial business.
- Business Growth: Driving the expansion of the portfolio, focusing on clients with an income of £2,500 and above.
- Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar role within Commercial Insurance.
- Strong background in new business development and account management.
- Experience working with larger clients and managing accounts with a high value.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
Additional Information: Work Environment: Hybrid working model with 2 days in the office (Thursday mandatory, with one flexible day - Monday or Wednesday) and 3 days working from home. Occasional In-Office Training: You may be required to attend occasional in-office training sessions. Compensation: New Business Bonus Incentives in addition to the basic salary.
