Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional with a keen interest in environmental science and workplace air quality? A unique opportunity has opened up with a respected, employee-owned consultancy based in Oxfordshire, specialising in air quality and occupational hygiene.
We’re recruiting on behalf of a niche environmental firm known for its hands-on approach, close-knit team culture, and impressive project portfolio across the UK. This is an excellent entry-level role for someone looking to develop a career in occupational hygiene and indoor air quality consultancy.
The Role:
You’ll begin by supporting field-based assessments across varied industrial and commercial sites—measuring dust, fibres, gases, and VOC exposure—before translating findings into technical reports back at the office. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to more complex consultancy work, client interaction, and potentially even business ownership through the firm’s profit-sharing structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site-based occupational exposure monitoring (dust, fibre, VOCs, gases, etc.)
- Supporting indoor air quality assessments
- Compiling detailed, interpretive reports
- Liaising with clients and project stakeholders
- Assisting with equipment installations and servicing where needed
Ideal Candidate:
- A-levels or higher in a relevant subject (ideally Environmental Science or similar)
- Up to 2 years of experience in air or noise monitoring
- Completed BOHS modules (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Comfortable working independently on-site and as part of a collaborative team
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has the right to work in the UK
What’s on Offer:
- Full training and career development support
- Private medical and dental cover
- Paid professional memberships
- Equal profit-sharing across all staff, regardless of position
- A welcoming and inclusive team culture
This role is based in Oxfordshire, and requires regular travel to client sites across the UK. Working hours are typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
If you’re practical, curious, and ready to build a career in environmental consultancy, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to Charlotte Lavender for more information or apply to the advert.
