This is a full-time, permanent role with a flexible salary depending on your experience between £36k and £40k. This role will be focused on planning and consultancy, community relations, and stakeholder engagement.

The Client

Our client is an award-winning communications agency that has several offices, and this role is based in Cheltenham. This team has an impressive portfolio of clients supporting them with change, reputation management and growth across a range of sectors. If you have experience in corporate comms and working within the built environment, then you will find this role incredibly exciting. Not only will you be joining the central hub, but you will also be working collaboratively with the other teams allowing a culture of sharing and collaboration.

The Role

As Account Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of communications and PR campaigns across a range of planning and infrastructure projects as well as developing and nurturing client relationships, managing energy and other projects that will help the UK meet its climate ambitions. You will support in leading the team to develop strategies and comms plans and manage the delivery. You will be focused on comms campaign planning, consultation and stakeholder engagement. Your strategic input will be key in ensuring the delivery of high-impact communications and consultation plans.

About You

To be the successful candidate for the role will have the following experience:

  • Have strong experience in developing strategies across comms (ideally with agency experience)
  • Proven experience in working on a range of planning and infrastructure projects with your clients and a passion for the energy and sustainability space
  • Experience in being client-facing, developing strategies and comms plans and managing the delivery
  • Working on planning and consultancy projects, community relations and stakeholder engagement
  • Ensuring seamless delivery of communications or community consultation plans
  • Experience in applying appropriate evaluation, measures and reporting systems
  • Spotting opportunities and being creative with your approach
  • Supporting with new business pitches and helping to grow client accounts with a commercial outlook
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and working on a range of different projects
  • Manage client events with the team
  • Managing crisis communications
  • Providing strategic insight into the client\’s business, understanding the commercial landscape and key issues
  • Political awareness of what’s going on at a regional and national level and enjoy keeping up with things that might affect your client. Also staying up to date with public sector structures and planning processes.
