Our client in Lincolnshire is seeking an experienced and motivated Interim Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer to join our Community Safety team for a 4-6 month period starting in June 2025. You will play a key role in investigating reports of anti-social behaviour, taking enforcement action where necessary, and working closely with residents and partner agencies to improve community safety. The role requires a candidate with strong knowledge of ASB legislation, excellent case management skills, and the ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate complaints of anti-social behaviour swiftly and effectively.
  • Gather evidence through interviews, CCTV review, site visits, and partnership liaison.
  • Assess risks to victims, perpetrators, and the wider community.
  • Draft and serve enforcement notices such as Community Protection Notices (CPNs), Civil Injunctions, Closure Orders, and other legal remedies as appropriate.
  • Work in close collaboration with internal teams, police, housing providers, and other partners.
  • Represent the council at court hearings, multi-agency meetings, and public forums.
  • Maintain up-to-date and detailed case notes and documentation in line with council procedures.
  • Provide specialist ASB advice and support to colleagues, stakeholders, and elected members as needed.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing ASB caseloads within a local authority, housing, or community safety setting.
  • Good working knowledge of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and associated enforcement powers.
  • Ability to independently manage and prioritise a busy caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience of preparing court documentation and giving evidence.
  • Competency with IT systems and case management software.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred, depending on borough needs).
  • Availability to start in June 2025 and commit to the full duration of the contract.
