As General Manager, you are responsible for leading your Senior Management team to deliver and perform against plan. You’ll be responsible for both the Warehouse and Transport activities from a site perspective; you’ll do this through leading, coaching and inspiring your depot management team for optimum results. Leadership through dynamic engagement and communication with all colleagues is essential to ensure you are able to flex and react quickly to change. You’ll love growing talent and raising the performance bar to ensure you have a top team, helping everyone save money, live better! You will be responsible for leading the distribution site team of between 250 and 900 colleagues, as well as managing all warehouse and transport activity. It is your responsibility to effectively engage and lead the site Leadership team to deliver and perform against the business plan. You will be leading, coaching and motivating the Leadership team and your colleagues to deliver the optimum plan for the site. You will look to drive continuous improvement where possible, to help deliver against the plan and your P&L. About You As a General Manager, experience managing a large distribution operation is essential, with a proven track record of delivering results against KRA’s. Experience in labour relations is essential along with working closely with trade unions. You’ll have strong leadership behaviours and the ability to flex and react quickly within an ever-changing environment. You’ll be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results. You’ll have an enthusiastic approach and be a strong coach, mentor and motivator, and act as a role model to the managers and colleagues around you. Instilling a culture of teamwork. You’ll drive performance and work cross-functionally, communicating effectively across all levels. You’ll make decisions for the greater good of the region and business.
