The Job:
- Reporting into the Plant Manager, oversee the day to day activities relating to water management, effluent discharge, boiler chemistry, chemical usage, product development, process rejects and chemical system maintenance.
- Working closely with the plant leadership team, ensure good cost control of additives and deliver site compliance requirements throughout the department.
- Manage 2 process technicians.
The Person:
- Degree or HNC or equivalent in Chemistry, Process, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience and understanding of water treatment and boilers within a manufacturing or process plant.
- Willing to do occasional short trips to other European plants (2 – 3 days at a time) for knowledge transfer and training – once or twice per year.
- Good communication, multiple stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills important.
