Join our dynamic team at UK Power Networks as a Mechanical & Electrical Design Engineer. Reporting to the Design Lead, you will be responsible for producing M&E designs from scopes provided by Project Managers, Customers, or the Design Lead. Your designs will adhere to UK Power Networks standards and ensure compliance with CDM regulations. You will collaborate with various departments to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake feasibility studies, site surveys, and buildability assessments for M&E installations.
- Produce compliant M&E engineering designs and peer-review designs from other engineers.
- Oversee the production of technical, commercial, and contractual documents for procurement.
- Ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and company procedures.
- Mentor trainee/graduate engineers and support their technical development.
- Fulfill the role of Principal Designer under CDM for allocated schemes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum university degree in engineering/science or equivalent experience.
- Chartered engineer or working towards chartership.
- Background in M&E engineering and building services with utility sector experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft desktop applications and AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and safety culture.
