Streamline Recruitment are recruiting for a Transport Team Leader based in Tilbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced logistics operation, offering a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights) and a salary of £47,000Temporary basis with potential to become permanent. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise a team of drivers , ensuring the effective and efficient running of transport operations. * Monitor and manage the daily scheduling of vehicles, ensuring timely deliveries and optimising routes. * Ensure compliance with all transport regulations, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and safety procedures. * Report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including operational performance, fuel efficiency, and driver performance. * Coordinate and oversee the effective use of resources, including managing vehicle allocation, drivers’ working hours, and vehicle maintenance schedules. * Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide excellent service to clients. * Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of team members. * Foster a positive team culture, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance. * Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement. Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in a transport or logistics leadership role, ideally within a similar environment. * Strong understanding of transport operations, health and safety regulations, and compliance requirements. * Experience working in a 24/7 operation, including flexibility to manage both day and night shifts.
