Our client, based near St Albans and Hatfield in Hertfordshire (Hybrid working), is an acquisitive £30m turnover SME in the Retail, Consumer Goods, Technology and Manufacturing sector and has an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to join as Financial Controller. This is a newly created role due to the growth of the business. Reporting to the MD and a part time Finance Director, the role has excellent growth opportunities and obvious progression.
Both hands-on and forward-looking, this Financial Controller role will include:
- Provision of management information to the Board
- Management of a finance team of three staff
- Month-end group reporting and management accounting
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Working capital management / FX issues
- Development of systems and controls
- Oversee year-end and audit
- Liaising with banks and external advisors
- Ad hoc involvement in projects and acquisitions
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller or an accountant at the early stages of your career, looking to progress in a growing business. A qualified accountant is preferred (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, ACMA) although qualified by relevant experience (QBE) will be considered.
