We are seeking an experienced CNC Miller to join our team. As a CNC Miller, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating a variety of Hurco vertical machining centres, performing 3/5 axis milling operations to produce high-quality components within specified tolerances.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and use precision measuring equipment to ensure components are produced to the required specifications
- Program, set up, and operate Hurco vertical machining centres
- Knowledge of Hypermill or Alphacam CAD/CAM
- Select and set cutting tools, holding fixtures, and machine speeds and feed rates
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality and efficiency
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machines and work area
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly work environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in programming, setting, and operating Hurco vertical machining centres
- Proficient in 3/5 axis milling operations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Good understanding of machine tooling and cutting methods
- Knowledge of G-code programming is an asset
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus
