Draftsperson

Elevation Recruitment are working with a specialist steels & metals business to recruit a Draftsperson for their site near Sheffield.Working within the Project Design team, you'll be producing drawings for various site upgrade and machinery installation projects within a heavy manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD

• Work closely with Engineers and cross-functional teams to develop designs, resolve issues, and ensure projects meet required standards

• Create material lists and bills of materials for procurement and manufacturing

• Maintain drawing records and documentation to ensure accuracy and traceability

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures

• Develop a solid understanding of company processes and products to continuously improve drawing accuracy and efficiency

The Person:

• Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD

• Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and engineering standards

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work

• Confident problem solver with a practical mindset

• Good communication and collaboration skills

• Competent with MS Office and general CAD-related tools
