Our client is a busy and well-established financial services firm offering mortgage and protection advice. They are currently looking to recruit a Mortgage & Protection adviser to work from their modern offices in Macclesfield, Cheshire.
Position Overview
Provide comprehensive mortgage and protection advice to clients and ensure that this is converted into profitable business for the company.
Essential Job Functions
- Establish client's mortgage or remortgage needs for residential and buy to let properties.
- Review client's financial position, recommend the most appropriate lender and product and make the application.
- Establish clients' protection needs, recommend policies and process the application through to 'on risk' status.
- Solve problems that might occur with lenders or protection providers to ensure that the service is delivered.
- Ensure that client files are presented on the system in a compliant manner.
Requirements
- Qualifications in CeMAP 1, 2 and 3 or equivalent.
- Pleasant and confident manner when dealing with clients, colleagues, lenders and providers.
- Team worker - recognises that business success comes from everyone working together with a willing attitude.
- Well organized - conscious of process - methodical.
- Drive to achieve targets.
- Attention to detail - checks facts and figures and spots mistakes. Takes ownership to get anomalies resolved.
- Numerate to handle financial calculations.
- IT literate - able to use a variety of systems.
- Accurate with spelling and numbers.
- Tenacious - tries to solve problems to achieve the objective.
- Attitude of continuous improvement - questioning how and why tasks are done to find better ways for clients and colleagues.
