About The Role

Due to the continued growth of the business, we are looking to recruit a Transport Supervisor to join our Stansted Depot. The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the Transport Depot and covering the Transport Manager in their absence. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of an award-winning Transport team, which has won numerous awards for Operational, Business, and H&S excellence over the last two years. The Transport Supervisor will work full-time, Monday to Friday, 4:00 am - 12:30 pm, with varied hours and days during peak season.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist our transport management team in the smooth running of the transport function.
  • Ensure that the trunking operation runs smoothly throughout the evening.
  • Ensure all vehicles are maintained in line with legal requirements.
  • Assist drivers with tasks in the Transport Yard when required.
  • Assist with boxing the vehicles for deliveries.
  • Manage drivers to work within the driver's hours and working time regulations, using recognized processes to ensure full compliance.
  • Thoroughly investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses when required.
  • Assist the training team with onboarding new drivers.
  • Support the Transport Manager and training team with the recruitment of new drivers.

About You

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Experience working within a transport office for multi-drop deliveries.
  • Minimum of 1 year of team leader/management experience within a transport or logistics office.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours and working time regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of driver compliance.
  • IOSH Certificate and First Aid Certificate.
  • LGV Licence and CPC Card.
