Join us as an Operational Resilience Manager In this specialist role, you’ll be providing the knowledge, skills and support required for the embedding of the Operational Resilience strategy and framework, as well as supporting policies, processes and governance across the business We’ll rely on your subject matter expertise on operational resilience concepts and principles, and how they influence the design of business services and their supporting resources to ensure the stability of our operations Gain valuable exposure and hone your expertise as you advance your career in this challenging and rewarding role, with an opportunity to influence ways of working What you'll do As an Operational Resilience Manager, you’ll be working closely with our stakeholders across the business to support the embedding and improvement of the Operational Resilience strategy, policies and frameworks. You’ll be a central part of the Operational Resilience Centre of Excellence, using your SME knowledge of UK operational resilience regulations from the FCA and PRA, and experience of implementing these regulations into BAU. You'll also engage internally and across the sector on emerging risks, trends and regulatory developments and use these to develop our approach to operational resilience and continue to build our resilience across the bank. You’ll also be: Leading and collaborating with your team to provide insights on Operational Resilience developments and risks into best practice and using analysis, experience, and judgement to provide a view of resilience Acting as a trusted adviser to establish strong relationships across the three lines of defence Engaging with peers across the industry in operational resilience forums and working groups, incorporating themes into the banks approach to resilience Proactively monitoring and updating the Operational Resilience standards, policies and frameworks, making sure they are, and remain, fit for purpose The skills you'll need You’ll be an Operational Resilience SME with excellent knowledge and delivery of UK regulations (FCA, PRA) gained through experience working at a large UK regulated financial services firm or consulting firm. We’re looking for someone with excellent people management skills and experience, and the ability to motivate others and deliver high quality work with limited supervision. You'll demonstrate an ability to work independently with limited supervision or instruction and drive activities across the team In addition, you will be able to demonstrate experience of designing and delivering strategy. You'll also have strong influencing, communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to operate effectively at all levels, including senion stakeholders, both internally and externally, with strong industry connections. In addition to this, you’ll demonstrate: An excellent understanding understanding and demonstrable experience of embedding of the FCA and PRA UK operational resilience disciplines and regulatory expectations into a duel-regulated financial services firm Good knowledge of key technology services and service delivery and management disciplines applicable to a large bank Good knowledge of risk management and controls in financial services Ability to design and deliver work plans, including knowledge of project lifecycles and the ability to articulate multiple layers of process, planning, communication and control, and form future strategy to deliver goals Retail banking experience in a dual regulated firm Knowledge of global and EU financial services regulation An understanding of how to approach horizon scanning and threat identification for a financial services firm
