Excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy as part of the growing team of geotechnical and environmental engineers based in a beautiful setting in Northamptonshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting and managing ground investigation work across the UK as directed by the Senior Engineers. More specifically you will be:

  • Working as a geo-environmental / geotechnical professional with at least 2-3 years experience
  • Working both outside and office based throughout the year
  • Soil and rock logging to current geotechnical standards, including laboratory scheduling
  • Participating in a variety of geotechnical and geo-environmental projects for both external clients and for other teams within JPP
  • Writing all types of factual and interpretative Reports (Desk study, ground investigation, earthworks, remediation strategies, CMRAs)
  • Site supervision of ground investigations, earthworks and construction activities
  • Collating geological/geotechnical data and report writing
  • Managing site activities and subcontractors, writing RAMS and liaising with clients

Experience, qualifications and attributes:

  • Minimum BSc in geology, geography or environmental science related degree
  • At least 2-3 years industry experience as a Geo-environmental/geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist / site engineer
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Use of holebase and CAD desirable
  • Must hold a full clean driving licence.
  • Must be prepared to travel UK wide and stay away from home on occasion.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have good written English skill
  • Enjoy working outside as well as in an office environment
