We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a proven track record in managing a significant annual spend, strong SLA (Service Level Agreement) experience, and expertise in procurement planning, stock management, and supplier performance. Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Planning: The supply chain manager will develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, products, and services.
- Stock Management: Oversee inventory levels, optimize stock replenishment, and ensure alignment with operational needs while minimizing excess stock.
- New Product Development: The supply chain manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage supply chain processes for new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to market.
- Supplier Performance & Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and ensure optimal performance through SLAs and KPIs.
- Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, including cost reductions, process improvements, and risk management.
- Team Management: As the supply chain manager you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages growth, accountability, and excellence.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, with significant exposure to managing a budget of £22 million or more.
- SLA Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in managing SLAs, ensuring compliance and continuous performance improvements.
- Procurement & Stock Management: Proven ability to manage procurement planning, stock levels, and supply chain processes effectively.
- New Product Development: Experience in managing the supply chain for new product development initiatives.
- Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to foster long-term relationships with suppliers.
- People Management: As the supply chain manager you will have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team.
- Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions.
