Meridian Business Support is seeking a passionate, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Lecturer in Plumbing to join our vibrant Department of Construction. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver engaging and high-quality Plumbing programmes to a wide range of learners in both practical and theoretical settings.
As part of a supportive and dynamic team, you’ll play a key role in the design and delivery of the curriculum, provide tutorial support, and contribute to the continual development of our department.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver outstanding teaching and assessment across a range of Plumbing programmes.
- Create and maintain engaging teaching materials including schemes of work, assignments, and resources.
- Ensure all delivery meets awarding body standards and supports student achievement.
- Provide tutorial support, track learner progress, and communicate feedback effectively to students, parents/guardians, and employers.
- Participate in moderation, assessment, and verification processes.
- Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews, and departmental planning.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and professional links within the Plumbing and Construction sectors.
- Relevant industry experience within the Plumbing and Construction sector.
- A minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Plumbing.
- Ability to deliver high-quality and inspirational teaching to a range of learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to learner success and development.
- A proactive approach to continuous professional development.
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
- Experience in assessing and verifying vocational qualifications.
