We have an exciting opportunity for a Group Worker to join the HMP Wandsworth Substance Misuse Service who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PRISON-BASED ROLE AND IS SUBJECT TO PRISON SECURITY CLEARANCE.

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week
Full Time Salary: £27,861.26 - £32,002.35 FTE (dependent on experience)
Allowance: Inner London Weighting (£4,133.14) per annum
About the Service: HMP Wandsworth Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service is a specialist service that is committed to supporting service users to tackle their drug and alcohol use, reduce reoffending and lead happier, healthier lives. Whether their aim is to stop using substances completely, to cut down, or for harm reduction information, we are here to support that journey. HMP Wandsworth is a Cat B men’s prison in Wandsworth, London.
About the Role: The focus of the role is delivering and developing group interventions for the prisoners engaging with the Psychosocial Substance Misuse Service within HMP Wandsworth, using evidence-based practice, covering the most appropriate issues to the service users. This will primarily be our Foundations of Rehabilitation programme, but also include group interventions such as SMART Recovery and pod working. This role is based full time in HMP Wandsworth.
About You: We’re looking for an innovative Programmes Facilitator (group worker) to join our team, with experience of delivering group work, who is committed to providing the best solutions to our service users. Someone that will proactively promote engagement in group interventions. While working within a dynamic environment, being flexible and adaptive to changing priorities is key.
